In the summer, our hair needs a little extra love. Between all the time in the sun, and the time in the pool, our hair can become a little bit dry and brittle. This hair mask is perfect as a weekly treatment for replenishing your hair’s natural moisture and shine.
What’s in it?
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Olive oil has been used for hundreds of years as a natural hair moisturizer. It contains lots of fatty acids that coat your hair and protect it from UV rays, chemical hair products, and heat styling. Olive oil coats each strand of hair and leaves it looking super shiny and healthy.
Shea Butter
Shea butter has long been used to moisturize and protect dry skin, but it can also be used on hair as well. Vitamins A, F, and E are abundant in shea butter and are great hair repair vitamins for dry and damaged hair damaged hair.
Raw Honey
Organic raw honey can help seal in moisture and strengthen the hair, reducing breakage and encouraging hair growth.
Hair Mask Recipe
Ingredients
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons Sans Pareil Naturals shea butter
1 tablespoon raw honey
5-10 drops lavender essential oil
Preparation
Melt Shea butter and olive oil over a double boiler until melted. Remove from heat. Then stir in honey and essential oil and apply to the lengths of your hair. Allow mixture to cool for 2 to 3 minutes, or until cool enough to handle. Wrap a towel around your shoulders to protect your clothes. Apply to hair starting at the ends and working up to the roots. Leave mask on hair for 20 to 30 minutes, and wash out in the shower. Shampoo and condition afterward as usual.

If you have very long hair, you might need to double this recipe.
